Girl Child Day 2023.


 𝐈𝐍𝐓'𝐋 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐈𝐑𝐋 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃: 𝐎𝐌𝐎'𝐎𝐁𝐀 𝐉𝐈𝐌𝐈 𝐎𝐃𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐘𝐎 𝐀𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐆𝐈𝐑𝐋𝐒 𝐀𝐒 𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀 𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄.


The Lawmaker representing the people of Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. (Prince) Okunjimi Odinayo has described girl child as the potential for a more promising and equitable future, the embodiment of aspirations and possibilities for a better world. 


Hon. Odimayo, in a goodwill message on the International Day of the Girl Child, joins the global community in recognizing and celebrating the incredible potential and resilience of girls around the world. 


He emphasized that this day acts as a potent reminder of the significance of safeguarding the rights and opportunities of all girls, irrespective of their backgrounds or situations.


The Chairman of the House Committee National Population Commission underscores the importance of upholding the rights and opportunities of every girl, regardless of their background or circumstances. 


"As a lawmaker, I am committed to promoting policies and initiatives that empower and protect girls in Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole". 


According to the legislator, Girls are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers of our society, therefore, by ensuring their access to quality education, healthcare, and protection from discrimination and violence, we are investing in a brighter and more equitable future for all. 


The business magnate calls upon fellow legislators, advocates, and citizens to unite in creating a world where every girl can thrive and reach her full potential. Together, they can break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and build a more inclusive and just society for girls everywhere, he added. 


Emphasizing this year's edition of International Day of the Girl Child, Hon. Odimayo reaffirms his commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of girls.


While extending his heartfelt wishes on this year's International Day of the Girl Child, he encourages them to prioritize their education and future endeavours.
