Lagos State intensifies Cleaning of Manholes across the state to prevent flooding In furtherance of the directive of the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Ministry of the Environment today, Saturday commenced desilting exercise across the metropolis, through its zonal offices . Our team on monitoring exercise captured scenes of the ongoing desilting of weep holes, and drainages around Ojota, Oworonsiki expressway areas. According to Mr. Aboodun Bamgboye, the intention of the state government is to reduce the incidence of flooding as we gradually approach the rainy season. While the exercise continues, residents of the State have been urged to complement the efforts of the state government by cultivating clean and hygienic environmental attitude and avoid indiscriminate dumping of waste in unauthorized areas.
