Tailor Lands In Court For Burning Customers Cloth With Iron The complainant, however, asked for a refund of the cost of the clothes but then the defendant was unwilling to pay. BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORKMAY 14, 2019 Monday Udor, a 41-year-old tailor was made to appear in Ajegunle Magistrates’ Court following an allegation that he ruined a customer’s clothes worth a total sum of N10,000. The defendant, who resides at No 2, Kudaisi St., Olodi Apapa, Lagos, is facing one count of malicious damage, the allegation to which he pleaded “not guilty”. The prosecutor, Inspector Olugbenga Salami, told the court that Mr. Ugo, the customer who is pressing charges took his clothing material to the defendant’s shop for sewing on Friday, April 4th but Udor could not return it as at when due. According to the prosecutor, when Ugo eventually called back to collect his clothes from Udor, the materials were partly burnt in the process of ironing. BREAKING: US Suspends Visa Interview Waivers In Nigeria The United States embassy in Nigeria says visa interviews will now be compulsory for those will to renew their travel documents in the country, Nigerian Cable News online can report. The embassy has consequently suspended drop box service or interview waiver In a statement seen by TheCable on Tuesday, the world power said the interview waiver suspension will take effect from Tuesday, May 14, 2019. “The Embassy and Consulate of the United States in Nigeria has suspended the interview waiver ‘Drop Box’ application process effective May 14, 2019,” the statement read.
