Governor Wike sacks Commissioner of Power Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has sacked the State Commissioner of Power, Hon Shedrach Chukwu. The Governor directed the sacked commissioner to submit all Government Documents and Property in his possession to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Power. GOVERNOR WIKE BERATES GOC 6 DIVISION FOR ENGAGING IN OIL BUNKERING Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has berated the General Officer Commanding ( GOC) of the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Jamil Sarhem for running an illegal oil bunkering squad for the purpose of financing his quest to be appointed the Chief of Army Staff. Governor Wike declared that any attempt to appoint the GOC of the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army as the Chief of Army Staff, would spell doom for the nation's failing security architecture . He spoke on Wednesday during a Courtesy visit by the Commander of Joint Task Force Operation Delta Safe, Real Admiral Akinjide Akinrinade at the Government House, Port Harcourt. He said: "The GOC is doing illegal bunkering, which he is using to finance his quest to emerge as the country's Chief of Army Staff. Poly students impound SARS vehicle after chasing ‘yahoo boy’ into their campus Students of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic in Owo, Ondo state displayed the ‘aluta spirit’ on Tuesday as they impounded a patrol van of the operatives of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). It was gathered that the SARS operatives chased a car belonging to a suspected ‘Yahoo boy’ into the Polytechnic campus which caused an uproar as the students mobilised themselves against the SARS operatives. According to one of the students, “Around 12pm the SARS operatives chased a car into our campus claiming the owner is a yahoo boy, we all trooped out to defend the student who had abandoned his car and ran away while trying to avoid being arrested. So we stood our grounds until they released the car and we also ensured they didn’t go with their van.” “Their hilux van was kept in the school’s custody and the management has reported the incident to the Commissioner of Police in Akure.” In a video shared on social media, the
