A statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Relations, Fidelis Soriwei, stated that the former Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State, announced Mr Dickson’s emergence after a meeting at the Gombe State Governors Lodge, Abuja, on Wednesday night. GOVERNOR WIKE TO GOC: PDP DEFEATED YOU AND YOUR PARTY ▪says nobody planned to bribe the GOC ▪insists that GOC 6 Division is involved in oil bunkering ▪dissolves Rivers State Executive Council Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) defeated the General Officer Commanding ( GOC) of the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Jamil Sarhem and his political party during the 2019 General Elections, saying that the bribery allegation by the embattled GOC is false and a mere face-saving measure. Governor Wike also announced the dissolution of the Rivers State Executive Council. He spoke on Wednesday during the Validictory Session of the Rivers State Executive Council. BREAKING: Appeal Court President, Justice Bulkachuwa, Withdraws From Presidential Election Tribunal May 22, 2019 Abuja News, News Alert, Presidential Tribunal The President of the Court of Appeal, Zainab Bulkachuwa, has recused herself from presiding or being a member of the presidential election petition tribunal. Her decision follows a petition by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar. Both parties are challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the February presidential election. Mrs Bulkachuwa’s husband is a senator-elect of the governing All Progressives Congress, a ground upon which Mr Abubakar and the PDP asked her to recuse herself. The judge announced her decision to recuse herself on Wednesday despite the panel ruling against the PDP. Details later…

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed all outgoing ministers to handover their portfolios on the 28th of May, 2019 to the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha. He gave this directive during the Federal Executive Council meeting (FEC) valedictory session which held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The president said despite the fact that the valedictory FEC meeting was the last for the outgoing ministers before the inauguration of his second term on the 29th of May, they should continue working in their capacity till Tuesday 28th of May, 2019. This scenario played out in Akure, the Ondo State capital after the death of Mrs. Nike Owonidahun at the Police Clinic. Confusion started when a dead baby with the placenta was declared missing, and there after said to have reappeared in the womb of the deceased woman. Nigerian Cable News online reported how Mr. Femi Owonidahun, a policeman lost both his wife and child during childbirth at the Police Clinic, Akure. The occasion that supposed to be a joyous moment for the Owonidahuns turned sad as his wife, Nike, a staff of a private insurance firm and the unborn child died in controversial circumstances at the clinic. As if that was not enough, the child and placenta were declared missing at mortuary of the State Specialist Hospital in
