 HON. (PRINCE) JIMI ODIMAYO'S BOLD STEPS AT THE GREEN CHAMBER, A PROOF OF RIGHT CHOICE BY THE CONSTITUENTS OF IRELE/OKITIPUPA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY. 

Hon. (Prince) Okunjimi John Odimayo, Member Representing the peace-loving people of Irele/Okitipupa Federal Constituency on the 12th day of July 2023 at the plenary of the House of Representatives moved a motion on the ” NEED TO INVESTIGATE THE ELECTRICITY BLACKOUT IN IRELE, OKITIPUPA, ESE-EDO, AND ILAJE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS OF ONDO STATE”

This motion spurred very strong support from members, as Hon. Odimayo, eloquently painted the 

excruciating situation of the people of Irele, Okitipupa, Ese-Edo and Ilaje Local Government Areas of our dear State. 

It is an open secret that our communities have been without electricity for the past 14 years and in fulfilment of one of his campaign promises, Hon. Odimayo has taken the first steps to finding a permanent solution to this problem and to restore the joy and pride of our people. The motion was overwhelmingly passed by members of the House after the Hon. Odimayo took his time to explain the social economic challenges the piteous situation has cost his constituents to the extent that children born 14 years ago have never seen either, do they know how public electricity supply from government looks like. 

Upon moving the motion, the House of Representatives has directed that this sad chapter of our lives be looked into by the relevant Committee of the House (Committee on Power) when constituted.

As it stands, Irele/Okitipupa Federal Constituency can only get better if we rally our unflinching support with Hon. Jimi Odimayo who has started well as the representative of Irele/Okitipupa Federal Constituency knowing fully well that the motion he moved will see the light of the day in Christ's name.
