Danladi Umar, CCT chairman, had pronounced Onnoghen guilty of the six counts preferred against him by the federal government. Umar, therefore, ordered that Onnoghen be removed from office of CJN and banned from holding public office for 10 years. BREAKING: Petrol tanker gutted by fire in Ibadan LATEST NEWSTOP NEWS By Sulaimon Adekunle On Apr 18, 2019 A petrol tanker has been gutted by fire along Iwo Road, the axis of Old Ife way, Sawmill at around 2:00pm today. According to an eye witness, the incident happened as a result of the tanker’s brake failure which resulted into damages of properties within the vicinity. Tribune Online also gathered that the there were about two casualties as at the time of this reportage. BREAKING: Buhari signs new minimum wage bill April 18, 2019Sani Tukur File photo of President Buhari Signing President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the new minimum wage bill. The bill, which has now become a law, will usher in a new pay structure for Nigerian workers. The National Assembly had passed the bill approving N30,000 as the minimum wage for workers. State governors had opposed the N30,000 minimum wage with many of them saying they will be unable to pay their workers. A source at the Presidential Villa confirmed to journalists that Mr Buhari signed the bill today (Thursday). He also said the president’s aide on National Assembly (Senate), Ita Enang, is meeting with the president and will brief the press later. Details later…

OYO gov poll: I was displaced by conspiracy — Adelabu Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu said that he was displaced by the conspiracy and coalition of five other governorship candidates. He noted that the results of the March 9 election “still keep our supporters wondering.” He said this while speaking with newsmen after his return from a two-week vacation abroad. Adelabu, a former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria said the election result was shrouded in mystery and this compelled his party to approach the election tribunal. He described his loss as a blessing in disguise. He said: “Whatever happens to a man is either a blessing or a lesson. ON APRIL 18, 2019 A 100-level Student of the Kogi State University, Ayingba, Miss Rebecca Michael on Wednesday reportedly committed suicide shortly after her boyfriend broke up with her. According to details, the girl recently gained admission into the department of Philosophy in the institution. 100 level student commits suicide The deceased, who took her life in their 200 housing unit residence in Lokoja, according to sources, was within the age of 20. It was reported that, the deceased drank sniper when her boy friend, who is a prominent DJ in Lokoja told her that he was no longer interested in the relationship. Law Graduate, A Corper Dies After Falling From A Danfo In Lagos. * Corps Member Dies After Falling Out Of A Commercial Bus In Lagos. A corps member has died after he fell off a commercial bus in Lagos. Akhigbe Nuel Odiase, a recent law graduate, was in a bus plying the LASU-Isheri road when he fell from the moving vehicle at about 9:45pm on the night of April 15, 2019. He sustained a severe head injury from the accident and was rushed to the nearby Alimosho General Hospital, Igando, where he was given first aid treatment. He was then transferred to LASUTH where he died later that night from his wounds. Friends and colleague have taken to Facebook to mourn the Ambrose Alli University law graduate.
