Akure-Ikere Road: Akeredolu, Fayemi Commence Joint Intervention 4th July, 2019.   Olatunde Olabode Richard victoradedeji. blogspot. Com Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, and his Ekiti State counterpart, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi have commenced joint intervention on the deplorable state of the Akure - Ikere Road. Governor Akeredolu who visited the road on Thursday evening said the intervention became neccessary due to the hues and cries the bad state of the road has generated. The Governor said the joint intervention involves a remedial work on the road to make it passable for  commuters and travellers. He stressed that himself and Governor Fayemi has mounted more than enough pressure on the Federal Government to reconstruct the road. According to the Governor, the pressure mounted on the Federal Government led to the redesigning of the road's plan to a dual carriage road.
