Be humbled by your victories, Governor Wike tells State Lawmakers Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has stated that all elected representatives of the state should be humbled by their victories and re-dedicate themselves to the service of Rivers people. Speaking during a congratulatory visit by members of the Rivers State House of Assembly on Monday at the Government House, Port Harcourt, Governor Wike said that the support of the people and God made the victorious possible. "This victory should humble everyone and ensure that we re-dedicate ourselves to serve the people. "We should see this as an opportunity to ensure a new beginning". Footage posted online shows a large fire engulfing the upper part of the cathedral, with the flames licking around its two bell towers. A major operation was under way, the fire department added, while a city hall spokesman said on Twitter that the area was being cleared. Officials in Paris said the fire, which started around 7pm local time, could be linked to renovation works being carried out at the cathedral. French media reports added that the fire was started by accident, citing police sources. Omokri reacts as Keyamo says Buhari doesn’t need WAEC certificate to become President Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has reacted to the claim by the spokesman for the All Progressives Congress, APC, Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, that one does not need a WAEC certificate to become President of Nigeria. Keyamo had in an interview on Sunday claimed that under the Nigerian constitution, one does not need a WAEC certificate to become President of Nigeria. According to him, if you have occupied the public office for a reasonable length of time, you do not need a WAEC certificate to become president of Nigeria.
