INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2023: YOUTHS ARE THE BRIDGE TO A BETTER FUTURE- AJIMOTOKIN. 


The Executive Chairman, Irele Local Government,  Hon. (Barr.) Olusegun Ajimotokin has described Nigerian youth as a bridge to a future where innovation, collaboration, and boundless potential converge.


The Honourable Chairman said Nigerian youth has showcased a remarkable ability to forge connections between the wisdom of the past and the aspirations of tomorrow stressing that their role as architects of change is key to nation-building. 


Hon. Ajimotokin lauded the youth for their unparalleled creativity adding that they breach barriers with their spirit of perseverance, transcending borders and ideologies.


He urged the Federal, State and Local Governments to recognize the incredible potential and vital role that young people play in shaping a more sustainable and inclusive future adding that this year's theme, "Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future," highlights the need for collective action to address global challenges, harness innovation, and foster the leadership of young individuals.


The former lawmaker further appealed to governments, non-governmental organizations, and stakeholders worldwide to give more support to youth-led initiatives and create an enabling environment for young people to thrive.


"As we commemorate International Youth Day today, let us recognize the immense potential of young people to drive social, economic, and environmental progress by empowering them with opportunities, resources, and a platform for their ideas which are the foundation for a sustainable future that benefits all".


He wishes Youth in Irele Local Government and Nigerian youths as a whole a blissful celebration.
