 Ore Fuel Tanker Explosion: Hon. Jimi Odimayo Condoles With Victims' Families.

The Member of the House of Representatives in Irele/Okitipupa federal constituency, Hon. (Prince) Okunjimi John Odimayo has sympathized with the families of Ore fire victims in Odigbo local government area of Ondo State. 


The lawmaker who expressed grief over the sad incident lamented the deplorable road as one of the reasons responsible for the sad incident. 


Recall on Sunday, Punch and other news agencies reported that no fewer than 20 persons were burnt to death in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State after a petrol tanker fell and spilt its content along the Benin-Ore-Sagamu Expressway which led to several persons burnt to death. 


The business magnate while expressing dissatisfaction over the state of the portion of the road, called on the federal government to intensify efforts in ensuring the deplorable parts of the road are fixed for hitch-free movement of motorists. 


Hon. Odimayo stressed the need for improved and effective fire services in the area adding that with the availability of effective fighting equipment like functional fire fighting trucks in Ore Community, the accident victims would have been rescued. 


The Chairman House Committee on National Population Commission called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency enhance the functionality of fire fighting services in Odigbo Local Government and across the federation to avert future occurrence of emergency fire incidents. 


He called on National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA)  to provide relief materials for the affected persons. 


The philanthropist equally advised the people in the area to desist from scooping fuel whenever a tanker accident occurred. 


Hon. Jimi Odimayo commiserated with the government and people of Ore Community in Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo State praying that God will give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
