In a build-up to March 11, 2023, Governorship/House of Assembly election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Irele Local Government today locked down Irele township and other communities when Member of House of Representatives elect in Irele/Okitipupa Federal Constituency, Prince Jimi Odimayo, Campaign Director General, Hon. Shadrack Olowojuni, Party Chairman, Chief Z. A Omoge and other political heavyweights embarked on a Thank You Tour across the ten wards as Irele Local Government held a General Ward Meetings/Rally where party leaders, members and supporters across communities trooped out in thousands to restate their support for  Dr Christopher Ogunlana ahead of the forthcoming Governorship/House of Assembly election. 

The Campaign Director General, Hon. Shadrack Olowojuni (Segro) who performed the introduction of leaders during the exercise thanked the people for voting massively for all APC candidates in the just concluded Presidential/National Assembly elections and urged the People to vote for APC Dr Ogunlana in the forthcoming House of Assembly election.

The Chairman of APC in Irele Local Government, Chief Z.A Omoge equally thanked the people for their support in the last election and beseeched for their block votes in the coming Assembly election.

The enthused Party Chairman received hundreds of defectors from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to APC in Akotogbo one (1) Ward nine (9) and assured the defectors inclusiveness in the party's affairs.

Also, the House of Representatives elects in Irele/Okitipupa federal constituency, Prince Jimi Odimayo who equally championed the Thank you Tour across wards commended the good people of Irele Local Government for voting for him and other APC candidates in the just concluded Presidential/National Assembly election. 

Prince Jimi Odimayo in his deep appreciation message assured that the massive support and block votes he got from the people would not be taken for granted as he Promised excellent representation at the Green Chamber for the benefit of Irele and Okitipupa Local Governments people. 

The MHR elect equally begged the people to vote for the APC House of Assembly candidate in Irele State Constituency, Dr Christopher Ogunlana in the coming election. 

He humbly asked the people to reiterate their support in the last election by voting massively for Dr Ogunlana on March 11, 2023.

Prince Jimi Odimayo redeemed one of his campaign promises as he gave five hundred thousand naira (#500,000) to good people of Irele five/(5), Ward ten (10) as the Best Performing Ward in voting strength apart from Ward three (3) in the just concluded election.

The Party leaders and supporters in their various responses assured Prince Jimi Odimayo, Chief Z.A Omoge, Hon. Shadrack Olowojuni and other party chieftains their unwavering support as they promised to vote massively for Dr Christopher Ogunlana in the coming House of Assembly election. 

In the campaign trail during the Thank You Tour led by the Campaign Director General, Hon. Shadrack Olowojuni were: The Party Chairman, Chief Z. A Omoge, Hon. Afolabi Iwalewa, Hon. Femi Okunjemiruwa, Chief Akinfe Akinmarin, Mrs Mojisola Lijoka, Hon. S. O Olowodasa, Mr Damilola Oripinye, Mr Ade Ajiboye, Mr Aregbesola Olorunwa, Hon. Banji Ademeso among other political bigwigs.
