AN EXCELLENT AND GRIPPING CONTRIBUTION FROM MR. DAMOLA AWOYOKUN.  I LEARNT SO MUCH FROM THIS EXTRACT FROM HIS FORTHCOMING BOOK! IT IS A MUST READ FOR ANYONE THAT WANTS TO KNOW ABOUT NIGERIAN HISTORY.  IT IS LONG BUT WELL-RESEARCHED AND WORTH THE TIME! PLEASE READ..... REAL FOUNDING FATHERS OF NIGERIA NOT AWO, ZIK OR SAURDANA by Damola Awoyokun Merchant sailor, businessman, farmer, pioneer industrialist, patriot, statesman, churchman, missionary and philanthropist.” So begins Adeyemo Elebute in this fabulous new book, The Life of James Pinson Labulo Davies: A Colosuss of Victorian Lagos. What is missing in these opening monikers is “founding father”. When Nigerians talk about founding fathers, they refer to Ahmadu Bello (Sardauna), Nnamdi Azikiwe and Obafemi Awolowo. Whereas modern Nigeria existed before these three were born. The first time Bello arrived on the national scene was in 1947 after the new 1946 Arthur Richards Constitution amalgamated the North and South legis

1966: ASSASSINATION OF ALHAJI (SIR) ABUBAKAR TAFAWA BALEWA “Who’s there?” A voice queried from inside. However, Ifeajuna replied by kicking the doors open with his boots. “You’re under arrest sir,” Ifeajuna said, pointing his gun at the Prime Minister, who looked startled. “Get up sir, we don’t have a lot of time.” “Alright,” the Prime Minister replied gently, “allow me to dress up.” He put on a white flowing robe with white trousers, a pair of slippers and his prayer beads. Without fear and a disciplined face, he trudged out of the room and the residence gently as Ifeajuna and his soldiers accompanied him with pointed guns. When they reached the parked vehicles, Ezedigbo had arrested the Finance Minister, Chief Okotie-Eboh, and had tossed him like a bag of groundnuts into the back of the 3-Ton truck while the Prime Minister was assisted into the backseat of Ifeajuna’s luxurious car, a red Mercedes Benz, as the convoy drove off to the rendezvous. Her return comes amidst rumours that her husband, President Buhari is marrying a second wife today. In a video, shared on Facebook by journalist George Onmonya Daniel, Friday, the first lady is protesting being locked out of her personal quarters at the Presidential Villa. “What did I do to you people,” Mrs. Buhari, whose face is not shown, is heard saying in the video “Nobody told us you are coming back Gogo,” a lady tries to appease Mrs. Buhari. “Nobody told us you are coming back.” Gogo is the first lady’s term of endearment used by her staff and close friends. She continues to ask questions. “Is that why they should lock my room? “Tell me this is the Villa, we have over 200 soldiers guarding us, 200 policemen guarding us, why do they have to lock this door?” “What for? What for? Enough is enough! E

1. Port Harcourt was named after a British man named Lord Lewis Vernon Harcourt who was a rapist and a paedophile. History records that he enjoyed to have sexual liasons with both underage girls AND boys. Simply put, he was a sadistic pervert and a sex maniac who could not control his lustful passions. After he was exposed and faced with public condemnation he committed suicide in his London home on February 24 1922. Rivers state please CHANGE the name of your capital! 2.  Lord Frederick Lugard and wife Flora Shaw gave Nigeria her name. History records that they were both closet Lucifereans who were members of numerous underground satanist and devil-worshipping societies, covens and temples. Their union was childless and Lugard was cremated in a thorougly bizarre, mystical and ritualistic cerenony when he died. The meaning of the word "NIGERIA" from the latin word "NIGER" (meaning "BLACK") is "BLACK AREA, AREA OF DARKNESS OR BLACK SPOT&q

Hillary and Bill Clinton on their Wedding Day, October 11, 1975. Hillary Diane Rodham met the future president, Bill Clinton, while they were both attending Yale Law School in 1971. He was staring at her in the library, so she went up to him and introduced herself. They fell in love and he proposed three years later. Bill wanted a big wedding while she didn’t even care about an engagement ring. (He gave her one anyway.) The wedding was intimate, but she didn’t even have a dress until the day before. Hillary’s mother went to Dillard’s in the Fayetteville Mall and bought her daughter a Jessica McClintock Victorian lace gown. Hillary and Bill married in the living room of their new home in Arkansas on October 11, 1975. A local Methodist minister and his wife officiated the ceremony as 15 of their closest friends and family looked on. #HistoryVille#

Around 8:00 am in 1821 in Osogun village, present-day Oyo State, there was an alarm; “The Fulani slave raiders are here. They are invading the town walls”. It was at first mistaken for the Fulani slave raiders who usually passed by Osogun. However, within a short time, the village was surrounded by the Foulahs, the “Yoruba Muslims”. They numbered about 2,000 on strong swift horses. The enemies came at a time when most of the able men and women of the town had left at home for work. Houses were ruthlessly set on fire and the inhabitants fled for their lives. The whole town was in flames. Ajayi, his mother, and two sisters ran into the hands of two of the raiders, who put nooses around their necks. They were later marched to Iseyin where the 12-year-old Ajayi was exchanged for a horse. He was then taken to the town of Ijaye where he was sold to a Muslim woman. This woman was planning to take him on a journey to Popo, which is today known as Aného in the West African country of

King Ibrahim Mbouombouo Njoya (1867-1933) of Bamum, Western Cameroon, had 600 wives and 177 children. Out of fear that important historical facts of the Bamum could be erased or corrupted, he developed the Bamum alphabet of 70 symbols and a writing system to preserve his kingdom's oral history which the French later destroyed. Njoya, as part of ways to ensure the written language was widely adopted, established schools and directed that the Bamum language is used as a form of instruction along with the German language. Njoya was a very brilliant king who also invented a hand-powered corn grinder. After World War I, France took over German territories and subsequently took control of Cameroon. The French who felt threatened by the achievements of King Njoya banned the use of his writing system and destroyed his printing press, libraries and several books he had written. He was later sent into exile to Yaoundé in 1931, where he died in 1933. He was 66. Whenever King N

59th Independence: Nigeria growing in age but diminishing in Development. Oh Nigeria my Country! God loves you so much and my reason for saying this, is evidenced by  the colossal natural and human resources deposits in you to sustain infinitely and stands out greatly among Nations of the World as well as quelling the numerous want of Nigerians. Today as a Nation State, there is nothing wrong to be classified among the World economic Powers considering the gargantua natural gifts(natural resources) from the alpha and omega, though reverse is the case today due to the activities of political locusts and economic cankerworms who instead of managing these abundant resources to rescue Nigerians from the hand of poverty and other socio-economic vices but squandered and still squandering for egocentric interest of their personal selves and families. Sorry my dear Country Nigeria for been plagued by bad leaders. They can only delay your destiny, it will surely manifest one day. Yes Nigeri
