Teslim Olawale Balogun ''Thunder'' (1927—1972) at Loftus Road stadium as a player for Queen Park Rangers, 1957.

Balogun made only 13 appearances and scored 3 goals for QPR. He was also a member of the Nigerian national team for 12 years (1948-1960), making just 6 appearances.

He was the first African to qualify as a professional coach and was a coach for Nigeria at the 1968 Summer Olympics. Survived by eight children, Balogun died in his sleep on July 30, 1972. He was 45.

The Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos is named in his honour.
