BREAKING: Owo Paramount Ruler Dies At 77 April 17, 2019 Oba Folagbade Olateru Olagbegi, Olowo, ondo news, Owo The Olowo of Owo in Ondo state, Oba Folagbade Olateru Olagbegi CFR is dead. Oba Olagbegi who died last night was 77 years. He was installed as the traditional ruler of the ancient town in 2003 by the late governor Olusegun Agagu. He was appointed Chancellor of the University of Benin in 2005 and later chancellor University of Abuja. He is currently chancellor of the University of Jos and former chairman of the Ondo council of Obas. He was married to Olori Ololade Olateru Olagbegi and the family was blessed with children and grandchildren.

INEC PRESENTS CERTIFICATE OF RETURN TO GOVERNOR WIKE ▪Deputy Governor, Members Elect also receive Certificates of Return The Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) on Tuesday presented the Certificate of Return to the re-elected Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike at the commission's headquarters in Port Harcourt. Governor Wike was re-elected by the good people of Rivers State on March 9, 2019 with the Collation of Governorship Election results concluded on April 3, 2019. INEC Returning Officer, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Otuoke, Prof Teddy Adias declared Governor Wike winner after he polled 886,264 votes, to defeat African Alliance Congress candidate, Biokpomabo Awara who scored 173,859 votes. Be humbled by your victories, Governor Wike tells State Lawmakers Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has stated that all elected representatives of the state should be humbled by their victories and re-dedicate themselves to the service of Rivers people. Speaking during a congratulatory visit by members of the Rivers State House of Assembly on Monday at the Government House, Port Harcourt, Governor Wike said that the support of the people and God made the victorious possible. "This victory should humble everyone and ensure that we re-dedicate ourselves to serve the people. "We should see this as an opportunity to ensure a new beginning". He said that with the victories recorded by the PDP across Rivers State, it wouldn't have been possible for any other party to win in Rivers State.
