OMO'OBA JIMI ODIMAYO PAYS TRIBUTE TO CHIEF BISI AKANDE, CFR, AT 85TH PRE-BIRTHDAY LECTURE

In a momentous gathering, Omo'oba Jimi Odimayo, Member of the House of Representatives and prominent gubernatorial aspirant in the upcoming Ondo 2024 governorship election today paid tribute to Chief Bisi Akande, the former governor of Osun State and pioneer National Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), at his 85th pre-birthday lecture held in his country home, Ila Orangun, Osun State.


Joined by a distinguished assembly of dignitaries, Hon. Odimayo expressed profound admiration for Chief Bisi Akande, hailing him as a distinguished statesman with immeasurable contributions to nation-building. 



The lawmaker highlighted that today's gathering provided a stage for people from various backgrounds to come together, demonstrating the extensive admiration for Chief Akande's enduring legacy.


As the atmosphere resonated with accolades, Hon. Odimayo emphasized the significance of acknowledging Chief Bisi Akande's remarkable achievements and unwavering dedication to public service stressing that that the statesman has excelled as both a dignified politician and dedicated public servant.


"The pre-birthday lecture marked a poignant moment, underscoring the respect and honour bestowed upon a figure whose impact has left an indelible mark on the political landscape". He added. 


During a one-on-one discussion with the statesman at his edifice in Ila Orangun, the Chairman of the House Committee on National Population conveyed joy at the heartfelt acknowledgement received during the event. 

He lauded Chief Akande for his substantial contributions to Nigeria and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).


Expressing sincere wishes for the overall well-being of the revered statesman, the philanthropist extended warm regards and advanced birthday blessings, anticipating a joyous and glorious celebration ahead.


In the company of Omo'oba Jimi Odimayo were Hon. Mrs. Yinka Alabi, former Ondo State Commissioner for Women's Affairs, Hon. Babalayo Olutayo, former Ondo State Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Mrs. Akinyemi Olabimpe, Ondo Central Women's coordinator for Omo'oba Jimi Odimayo, alongside several other distinguished individuals.
