The Executive Chairman, Irele Local Government, Hon. (Barr.) Olusegun Ajimotokin has congratulated the Member of the House of Assembly elect in Irele State Constituency, Dr Christopher Ogunlana on his victory at the just concluded House of Assembly election. 


Hon. Ajimotokin in a statement described the victory as well-deserved adding that the outcome of the election reflects the wishes of the people. 


The Council Boss equally commended Irele Local Government people for their massive support for all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded 2023 general elections. 


The Honourable Chairman urged Dr Ogunlana to see his victory as an opportunity to impact positively on the lives of his constituents through quality representation. 


He expressed elation that despite political differences that preceded the election, both the candidates and their supporters still ensured that there was no breakdown of law and order which gave room for the emergence of a winner devoid of objections. 


According to Ajimotokin, “After election comes with the task of representation, therefore I would like to urge you to see the pre-election issues within the context of political campaigns and ensure that you carry your constituents along across political divides so that you could have a supportive constituency”. 


He urged Dr Ogunlana to prioritize the welfare of the people once he is sworn in as a lawmaker at the House of Assembly. 


Hon. Ajimotokin lauded INEC for conducting hitch-free elections and equally extolled security agencies for maintaining peace and tranquillity in the local government.
