Ondo State Youth for Good Governance, a non governmental organization in her quest of fulfilling the people oriented aims and objectives of the organization stormed Mother and Child Hospital, Akure today for welfare outreach to the new born babies, Nursing mothers, sick children, indigents and others.
On the arrival of the organization to the Hospital, the CMD of Mother and Child Hospital Akure, Dr. Banke Oluwafemi in her opening remarks thanks the organization for coming up with an initiatives aimed at helping the people most especially the needy who lacks the financial wherewithal to pay off their hospital bills. She spoke further to emphasis on the formation of 'Indigent Committee of Mother and Child and the roles it plays to assist the nursing mothers, the sick babies, indigents and others. The CMD thereafter handed over OSYGG to the Indigents Committee of the Hospital to assist the organization in fulfilling her mission in the Hospital. She as well charged the organization not to relent in her quest to cater for the needs of the people.
The Chairman of "Indigents Committee of Mother and Child Hospital Prince Okunomo enjoined the CMD to commends the organization for making the welfare of the people their utmost priority and as well promised that the Committee would rendered its unwavering supports to fulfill the mandate of OSYGG.
The nursing mothers in the Hospital expressed their gratitude to the team of Ondo Youth for Good Governance for the kindhearted welfare outreach both in cash and gifts needed to take care of their babies given to them without biased restrictions ranging from Origin or denominations.
Mrs. Folake Afolabi a new born mother who was unable to pay off her bills and has been denied of going home for the past weeks of her delivery emotionally expressed her gratitude to the organization and prayed that God will continue to uphold the organization. She was full with joy and appreciation to Asiwaju Femi Adekanbi for been a pillar to OSYGG.
It should be noted that Chief Femi Adekamnbi has been a wonderful friend to the organization having taken care of the finances the organization is utilizing to ensure the execution of her welfare and people oriented activities.
The team of OSYGG thanked the CMD, the Indigents Committee of Mother and Child hospital, Chief Femi Adekanbi for the help rendered to ensure the fulfilment of the organization's mission to the Hospital.
The group coordinator Adojutelegan Adesuyi appreciated Asiwaju Adekanmbi for his kind gesture ushered in assisting OYGG in order to reach out to the less privileged.
