Ondo Government Okays Re-naming Of Varsity After Agagu
In furtherance of its plan to rename the State owned University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa after the late sage and former governor, Dr Olusegun Kokumo Agagu, the State Executive Council on Monday approved a bill which changed formally the name of Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa to Olusegun Kokumo Agagu University of Science and Technology.
Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, had announced in March during a statewide 'Thank You Tour' at Okitipupa that his administration would immortalise Dr Olusegun Agagu by renaming the State owned institution after him.
The bill will now be forwarded to the State House of Assembly for passage into law.
The Governor has been applauded by many in the State and beyond for honouring Dr Olusegun Agagu, saying it's a honour well deserved.
