Bursar Of Anglican Church Shot Dead In Akure
Gabriel Abiodun, the bursar of the Akure diocese of the Anglican Communion, has been shot dead.
Abiodun was killed at the diocesan office at Alagbaka area of Ondo state capital on Thursday.
His assailants opened fire on him shortly after he returned from a new generation bank where he reportedly collected money meant for the church.
He was said to have been trailed from the bank to the church premises.
His remains have been evacuated by the police.
Security has been beefed up in the area just as sympathisers have started trooping to the church.
Femi Joseph, spokesman of the Ondo police command, said the police had commenced investigation into the matter.
